What is a storage trailer rental?+
It's a semi-trailer rented as stationary, on-site storage. We deliver a 45- to 53-foot dry van to your location and leave it parked so you can load and unload on your own schedule. Think of it as portable warehouse space you rent by the month instead of leasing by the year.
How much does it cost?+
Monthly rentals start at $125 per trailer, depending on trailer size and length of term. Delivery, pickup and SC sales tax are quoted separately. Send us the details through the quote form and we'll get you a full number quickly.
How fast can you deliver?+
Most orders are on your lot within 24 to 48 hours of confirming your quote. Tell us your timeline and we'll work to hit it.
Short-term or long-term?+
Both. Rentals start with a 1-month minimum, then run month to month for as long as you need the space: a busy season, a project, or year-round. When you're done, one call and we pick it up.
Are there any other fees?+
Delivery and pickup are charged per trailer, and SC sales tax applies to the rent. Everything is listed on your quote before you sign, so there are no surprises.
Can I get into the trailer any time?+
Yes. The trailer sits on your own lot, so you can load and unload whenever you want, day or night.
What surface do I need?+
A firm, reasonably level spot the delivery truck can reach: gravel, asphalt, or concrete all work. Not sure your site fits? Ask us and we'll help you figure it out.
What can I store?+
Palletized inventory, equipment, materials, fixtures, records, and general dry goods. Trailers are weather-tight and lockable. They are not climate-controlled, so they suit dry, non-perishable storage.
What can't I store?+
No hazardous materials or waste, flammable liquids, explosives, perishable food, or live animals, and nobody can live in a trailer. If you're not sure about something, ask us before you load it.
How do I end the rental?+
After the first month it runs month to month. When you're done, let us know, empty the trailer, and we'll schedule the pickup.
How secure are the trailers?+
Every unit is lockable and weather-tight, and solid steel walls keep your inventory dark and out of sight.
Do I need insurance?+
Yes. While a trailer is on your site you insure it for its value and carry general liability, and you send us a certificate of insurance before delivery. Coaxle does not insure what you store inside. We'll tell you exactly what's needed when we quote.
Do you rent semi trailers for hauling?+
No. Coaxle is storage only. We deliver and place trailers as stationary on-site storage, and they stay parked on your lot. We don't rent or lease trailers for freight, trucking, or over-the-road use.
